Spring at Cal Poly and SLO High

When I met the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts Philip Williams he gave us two Cal Poly Baseball Tickets as a welcome gift!  We were very thankful, first since it sounds like fun and secondly - what I only learned afterwards - it was acutally VIP-tickets.  Friday Cal Poly played UC Davis and we had a fun evening.  Nathan did a great job understanding and explaining me the rules of the game and the longer we watched the more interesting it got.  OK, those are not players, but this is a race (pig, chicken, cow and unicorn) during a break for some restaurant vouchers. This will not be our last game since our  departement is actually planning a team event on the Friday of the memorial day weekend!  

The last weekend started out with a road trip to San Diego on Thursday.  From San Luis Obispo that is easily a 5 hour drive without traffic, but there was some traffic and some stops including this one in Venice Beach.  Getting there, in the end it took me well over 7 hours.  Starting the conference Friday morning and luckily my contributions got accepted. The California Entrepreneurship Educators' Conference is taking place for the 10th time. Just like our International Entrepreneurship Educators Summit ( www.iees-conference.com ) in Stuttgart.  The reception at the conference in Friday afternoon.  A big part of the value from attending a conference really comes from the interaction with fellow researchers, especially in a field like enterpreneurship education.  Saturday morning: while I am still at the conference Nathan gets on the plane to meet me in San Diego.  Almost there! We decided to meet at the USS Midway, an aircraft carrier and museum....
