San Diego
The last weekend started out with a road trip to San Diego on Thursday.
From San Luis Obispo that is easily a 5 hour drive without traffic, but there was some traffic and some stops including this one in Venice Beach.
Getting there, in the end it took me well over 7 hours.
Starting the conference Friday morning and luckily my contributions got accepted. The California Entrepreneurship Educators' Conference is taking place for the 10th time. Just like our International Entrepreneurship Educators Summit (www.iees-conference.com) in Stuttgart.
The reception at the conference in Friday afternoon.
A big part of the value from attending a conference really comes from the interaction with fellow researchers, especially in a field like enterpreneurship education.
Saturday morning: while I am still at the conference Nathan gets on the plane to meet me in San Diego.
Almost there!
We decided to meet at the USS Midway, an aircraft carrier and museum.
For Nathan that was a 15 minute bus ride from the airport and I got there about 2 hours later.
Top Gun-feeling in front of the F14
Briefing room
Bund beds
Down in the belly of the carrier
and in front of it.
But really, San Diego is also about beaches and cliffs
so that's where we went next.
Next morning we went first to the air- and space-museum

still in bright sunshine
but with fog at the beach in La Jolla.
There is a story to this picture in Santa Monica, 2024
and 2018.
The weather was better back then, but it is spring and not sommer.
Thus, fog at the coast might be common.
