In and around SLO V: Dallidet Adobe and Gardens, above the P and Montaña de Oro State Park
There were still a few things left on the bucket list and with school finishing earlier due to finals we were acutally able to do some smaller tours in the aftenoon.
That was still on Sunday, the Dallidet Adobe. This house was basically outside San Luis Obispo and used by the Dallidet family for over a 100 years from the 1850s until the 1950s when it was donated to the city.
It is only open on Sundays and that is the reason we were only able to look at it last weekend.
This is one of the original horse-drwan street cars from San Luis Obiso.
The next stop on that Sunday was the history museum of SLO. This is a working grammophone:
I didn't take more pictures to do that place justice sharing all the interesting things from San Luis Obispo being basically wild west until becomming a university town.
Some milestone, even though it is not really doing a lot of justice to the indigenous people.
This picture is actually the street where we live a 100 years ago. It was taken from Terrace Hill. When that picture was retaken years later there were 30 feets missing from the top of the hill since it has been used for construction.
Even though I had been to the P (which stands for Cal Poly) earlier I still wanted to hike up, this time in special colors.
This time I went all the way to the top of the hill
providing some nice views into Cal Poly Canyon
and towards the other peaks or morros.
One more view towards Cal Poly and San Luis Obispo.
This week we did a trip to Morro Bay
where you can acutally get fresh Oysters at reasonable prices.
This was the view from the harbor.
We went on to the Montana de Oro State Park which is close to Los Osos,
It is nice beach hiking
and we did it when the mother of Nathan was visiting us
earlier this week.
Waves were a little too high to go swimming
but you could still enjoy the ocean.
This view is looking from the State Park towards Morro Bay and the famous rock
