Cayaking in Morro Bay

After using our cayak on Hume Lake last weekend we were finally able to take it into the sea

where we met several harbor seals

Once you get beyond the remains of the decommissioned power plant the are is beautiful

it is one of the 9 morros

which are leftovers from 90 million years old volcanoes

The boat in on the left is doing a new underwater-cable to Japan

Time to turn around, on the left you can see the harbor front of Morro Bay.

The "bad weather" is by the way high mist, we left San Luis Obispo in perfect sunshine (and it was still there when we returned), the pacific can still be cold at that time of the year.

One more look to the morrp.
