A walk on campus and Building 26

Classes are over and today was really ma last day at the university.

I wanted to share a few impression from the campus

and especially where I taught this quarter.

This is the sports center, just across from my office.

Nice to do easy workouts, I wish I had that at home.

From the bookstore. Mustangs are the Mascott of Cal Poly and the university acutally raises them. Recently there was an e-Mail by the president telling students not to ride them during the night...

Talking about the president, if you receive a letter from him you are either in deep trouble ot something special which happend.

In my case it was the baseball-tickets which I could pick up at his office.

That picture was not on campus, but downtown. This is the packaging program advertising their offerings trought an egg-drop competition. In general, it is fun to see how closely Cal Poly and the SLO-community work together.

This is "our" building 26, as it looked like when it was opened in the late 1950s

and this is the great team who adopted me for the quarter.

Another look at building 26 and on the left side you will see 26a, the workshop with the big machines.

The front entrance to our building

showing the 2 programms sharing the space.

Downstair is a special treat,

the shakespeare museum,

a collection of historic printing equipment all operational

an facilitated by students who

are giving tours. This was when Jane and Larry were visiting us from Texas.

Going back upstairs and enjoying how every little bit of space is being used in a positve way.

Thursday was the showcase of senior projects in the librarby.

Friday is popcorn day in the departement:

My usual classrom with my students.

This was from the first day

and this is one more look into my office for the quarter before returning the key.
